Salon POS system

A salon POS system that runs the till, the diary and the back office

One screen for the front desk: sell a service, take payment, print a receipt, and the day's reports, staff commission and client records update themselves.

What the till handles

Services, products and tips

Ring up a braiding session, a bottle of oil and a tip on one receipt, with prices held in KES and stock counts adjusted as you sell.

M-Pesa STK push

Ask for payment on the client's phone from the sale itself. The transaction is tracked as pending and settles when Safaricom confirms it.

Receipts with a reference

Every sale gets a receipt number your client can quote later, printed or sent by message, so a query never becomes an argument.

Day close that adds up

Cash, card and M-Pesa totals for the day sit beside the sales list, so counting the drawer takes minutes instead of an hour.

Find any sale again

Search by receipt, client phone, date or staff member and open the original line items, including who did the work.

Roles that limit damage

Receptionists run sales and expenses, managers change pricing and payroll, and staff logins cannot reach the till at all.

What is included

A Saturday at the till

Common questions about the POS

Does the POS work offline?

It needs a connection to record a sale, but the pages are light and work on a phone hotspot. Pending M-Pesa payments are reconciled as soon as you are back online.

Can I record a sale paid later?

Yes. Save the sale with a payment method of pay-later, and mark it paid when the money arrives. It stays visible on the sales list until it is settled.

Can a stylist be paid per service and per product?

Commission is set per service, so a colour treatment and a beard trim can carry different percentages. Products can be left out of commission entirely.

Will my old client list move across?

Add clients with a name and phone number, and every future sale, booking and loyalty balance attaches to that record. Your receptionist can add them while a client waits.
