Clients choose a salon with their eyes. A gallery of clean, well-lit work answers the only question they really have: will this stylist produce what I want?
Photograph the same way every time. One corner of the salon with consistent light, one angle, natural background. Mixed lighting makes good work look accidental, and it makes the whole gallery feel like someone else's salon.
Name what the client is looking at. Each photo should tie back to the service and, where useful, the stylist, so a visitor who likes a style can book exactly that service from the gallery page instead of guessing.
Protect the work and the client. Ask permission before publishing a face, watermark your photos with the salon name so copied images still point back to you, and keep the original files in the gallery library rather than only on a phone.
Refresh it on purpose. A gallery that has not changed in six months quietly tells clients that business has too.
